Our Founders
Combined expertise across finance, marketing technology, data science, and enterprise AI — turned into systems that transform how businesses actually operate.
Joshua Zhang started where few marketers do: a molecular biology lab. After completing his bachelor's degree, he made a sharp pivot into digital marketing — teaching himself dropshipping and social media advertising entirely from scratch. That rare combination of scientific rigor and scrappy, self-taught execution became his defining edge.
He went on to earn a Master's in Marketing Science from Santa Clara University, then built his career across the full marketing technology stack — from ad-serving platforms to audience measurement at Nielsen, to high-growth, well-funded startups where speed and precision both mattered.
In 2019, Joshua launched his own digital marketing agency while simultaneously joining the faculty at UC Berkeley and USF's MBA program. He spent years distilling complex marketing systems into clear, practical frameworks that students and clients could actually apply.
Today, Joshua believes AI is the defining opportunity of this generation. His work at Fintellect sits at the intersection of that conviction and two decades of pattern recognition across biology, data science, and growth marketing — building systems that don't just automate tasks, but genuinely think.
Tej Kamaraju built his foundation in finance and investing, where he developed a disciplined approach to analyzing markets, evaluating opportunities, and understanding how businesses create value.
He began his career in asset management and research, studying emerging technologies and their impact across industries. That experience evolved into consulting at Visa, where he now works with large enterprises to translate complex data into strategy and help organizations prepare for the next wave of AI-driven change.
Along the way, he identified a gap that few were addressing: companies didn't just need to understand AI — they needed to actually implement it. That realization led him to co-found Fintellect Solutions, where he designs and deploys AI-powered workflows that automate operations and drive measurable efficiency gains.
Today, Tej focuses on turning AI from a concept into a functioning system — one that integrates seamlessly into real businesses, solves real operational problems, and delivers results that show up on the bottom line.
